Ferris 1st UMC was established in 1874.  But don't let our age fool you.  Just because we are over 130 years old it does not mean we are old and cranky.  Quite the contrary!  We are warm, welcoming and full of hospitality.  We embrace the richness of our tradition and history, but also embrace the present day.  

So, if you are searching to experience God with the old and the new, this is the place for you.  We worship God through traditional hymns, accompanied by our historic pipe organ--along with the beat of the drum and shake of the tambourine as we also sing Ol’ Gospels, spirituals, and praise music. 

Our worship experience is blended with traditional and contemporary elements, along with audio/video enhancements so that every generation has its own opportunity to experience God in worship.
